It's very laid-back and simplistic, even bordering on being a mobile-type game (and progress being tied to a number of stars you gain in each level, like in a typical mobile title, definitely doesn't help that impression,) but if you're into that type of casual arcade racing and don't mind almost decade-old games, there's definitely plenty of fun to have here. This article is within the scope of WikiProject Video games, a collaborative effort to improve the coverage of video games on Wikipedia. Plenty of creative and colorful stages, various toy cars to unlock and play with, many gameplay modes, and purposefully clunky controls. It has everything a table-top racing game should have. Whatever the plan was, looks like it didn't really work since a couple of years later they went back to the Micro Machines trademark. Only the title is different because Codemasters wanted to distance themselves from the franchise and release a game under their own IP, or at least that's what I'm guessing happened.
